OIL SPILL CONTINGENCY GROUP AREA’S 4 & 5 SUMMARY

Welcome to Oil Spill Contingency Groups #4 and #5. Area’s #4 and #5 Oil Spill Group’s mandate is to provide expertise towards communication , training and contingency planning, to minimize risks and environmental damage, in the event of an oil spill.

The steering committee of area’s #4 and #5 are responsible for spill activities in the following areas:

1. selection and purchase of spill containment and recovery equipment.
2. maintenance of oil spill equipment.
3. conducting annual spill training exercises for all member companies.
